Sawtooth Interpretive & Historical Association Receives State's Highest Honor for Museums, Historical Societies, and Interpretive Organizations
BOISE, Idaho - The Sawtooth Interpretive & Historical Association in Stanley, Idaho will receive the 2014 Sister Alfreda Elsensohn Award. Given annually by the Idaho Humanities Council, Idaho State Historical Society and Idaho Heritage Trust, the Sister Alfreda recognition includes a $10,000 award to be used by the awardee to contine its educational efforts. The award will be presented in June 2015 at the Redfish Lake Visitor's Center.

Idaho State Historical Society Awards $25,000 to History Organizations Across Idaho
BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho City Historical Society will use $2,500 to digitally record, archive, and make available for public use oral history interviews as a commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the city. The Malad Valley Welsh Foundation will use $600 to develop a temporary exhibit of pedigree charts, photos, census records, artifacts and other materials related the Malad Valley Welsh settlers for the annual Welsh Festival.
